The SAAD Teaching Faculty has oral surgeons, paediatric dentists, special care dentists, clinical psychologists, GDPs, dental nurses, peripatetic sedationists and resuscitation officers - all experienced teachers.

Aim: To explain the principles of safe and effective inhalation sedation

Learning outcomes: 

• To describe patient assessment and treatment planning 
• To describe inhalation sedation techniques including administration, monitoring, recovery & discharge
• To describe the management of sedation-related complications

CPD hours:  Six hours, fulfilling GDC learning outcomes A, B, C & D.
