Parking is only available for blue badge holders.
It is recommended that delegates enter campus via Bancroft Road and walk towards the Graduate Square. Th entrance to the Graduate Centre is on the opposite side of the square.
Mile end and Stepney Green Tube stations are both a 5-10 minute walk from campus.

Registration
We are using remote sign-in instead of a paper register, the link to sign in is below and the password will be available in the foyer. Members of the SAAD Faculty will be there to welcome you and to assist with signing in if necessary.

Meet the faculty!

SAAD Course Director, Past President & Honorary Life Member
Carole is a Consultant and Clinical Lead for Special Care Dentistry at Guy’s, and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. Her particular interests are using sedation for people who require special care, teaching sedation both to undergraduates and postgraduates and providing dental care under general anaesthesia. She is a member of Dental Council at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Clinical Director for Dental, Hertfordshire Community Trust
Leah's career has spanned a range of roles in hospital, general practice and community dental services, throughout which she has maintained a particular interest in governance relating to safe sedation practice, sedation teaching and treating dentally anxious adults and children with anxiety management techniques, including Inhalation sedation and IV sedation.
Leah completed an MSc in Conscious Sedation at Cardiff University in 2013 and taught for several years on the Diploma and MSc in Conscious Sedation. She is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Trainers and continues teaching on National SAAD courses as part of the SAAD Teaching Faculty, as well as running local STAC accredited sedation courses and regional update courses for the dental team. Leah is also a former SAAD Board member and Safe Sedation Practice Evaluator.
Leah was sedation lead for many years in a private Sedation Practice and also within a community dental service, during which time she established an IV sedation service for special care adults and children aged 12-16. Since assuming the post of Clinical Director in Hertfordshire she has played a key role in the development of nurse-led anxiety management pathways.
In her spare time she enjoys getting out in the fresh air and spending time with friends and family.

Oral Surgery registrar and medical doctor
Elle is an oral surgery registrar and medical doctor. Her interests are in teaching and providing conscious sedation for anxious patients undergoing oral surgery. She works both in hospital and practice environments and has a keen interest in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.

Resuscitation Council Instructor, Adult and Paediatric Advanced Life Support
Mary is an experienced registered nurse with an ED background and has been a Resuscitation Officer for over 20 years working within the NHS. Mary is a Resuscitation Council instructor in both adult and paediatric Advanced Life Support Courses. She has a keen interest in education and has a PgDip in Education.

Senior Resuscitation Officer at GSTT
Anthony has a wealth of experience attending emergencies and teaches undergraduate dental students. He is an ALS, APLS, NLS and Generic Resuscitation Instructor with a keen interest in non-technical skills. He has a Masters in Quality and Safety in Healthcare evaluating resuscitation teams.

After the course you will receive an email with a link to the online evaluation feedback form. Once you have submitted your feedback your attendance certificate will download.
