This course will fulfil the IASCD requirements: 16. What level of life support training does the sedation team need? Practitioners must be able to provide age-appropriate Immediate Life Support as defined by the main elements of the Resuscitation Council (UK) ILS and PILS training programmes.

The course is designed for dentists. It covers the underpinning knowledge and clinical skills required for the safe provision of conscious sedation in dental practice.

This course is designed for dental nurses assisting in the provision of conscious sedation for dentistry. It is a standalone course that can be attended by experienced sedation nurses as a refresher.

This training scheme is STAC accredited and is suitable for dentists who are new to sedation, and can nominate a suitable supervisor for their supervised clinical experience.
